Web based Portal as a Knowledge Management Tool for Capacity Building of Employees in Banking Sector

Abstract

This paper examines the need for an e-learning portal used as a knowledge management tool by banks, and its impact on its employee’s capacity building. With the help of variables (e-Learning Portal and Capacity Building) developed a conceptual model to test and verify the hypothesized relationships between the said variables. Cluster/ Area sampling was used followed by convenience sampling where data was collected with the help of 105 questionnaires from bank employees with integrated e-learning portal in Gujrat, Pakistan. Response rate was 95 %. SPSS 16.0 was used for data analysis and model testing. The study concludes that there is a strong positive relationship between e-learning portal and capacity building of bank employees.
